Red Hawks bested by W. Salem, Viroqua
The Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau High School volleyball team lost two Coulee Conference matches last week.
The Red Hawks lost in three sets at West Salem last Tuesday before dropping a three-set match at Viroqua on Thursday.
G-E-T hosted Arcadia on Tuesday and plays at Westby Thursday. Stats for the games were not reported.

The Panthers kept G-E-T’s attack limited in Coulee Conference play last Tuesday, holding the Red Hawks to no more than 19 points in three sets.
West Salem won the first set 25-12 before fending off the Red Hawks 25-19 in set two. They ended the match with a 25-16 win in the third set.

The Red Hawks kept it close in two of the three sets in Thursday’s match, but the host Blackhawks held on to win.
G-E-T opened with a 21-point first set, but Viroqua held on to win before cruising to a 25-14 second set win. The Blackhawks won the third set in a tiebreaker, 29-27.
