Stuhr stepping down as G-E-T softball coach
For the first time in nearly 30 years, the Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau High School softball team will be led by somebody other than Dan Stuhr next season.
Stuhr is resigning from his spot as head coach after a 2021-22 season that saw the Red Hawks finish 20-6, including a perfect 12-0 in conference play to win a Coulee Conference championship.
Stuhr is resigning to spend time focusing on his own kids and family, he told the Times. Troy White, G-E-T High School principal, told the school board at its Monday meeting that the district will miss Stuhr and is grateful for his time.
Stuhr estimated he coached more than 150 players in his years with the team.
