Altoona rattled off three rushing touchdowns in a row during the second quarter after the teams ended the first quarter tied 7-7.

A 29-yard Altoona run just a few minutes into the game started the hosts on the right path, but a Justice Vaaler pass found sophomore wide receiver Cody Schmitz for a 27-yard score with 30 seconds left in the first quarter.

Vaaler finished the night 6-of-12 through the air, finishing with 80 yards and a touchdown. Schmitz finished with a pair of catches for 40 yards.

The Red Hawks opened the third quarter with a touchdown, as junior Nate Schindler powered through the line and into the end zone from the one-yard line to make it 25-14 Altoona. After giving up a touchdown to Altoona, G-E-T brought themselves within two scores of a tie game.

Vaaler kept the ball on the ground to score on a four-yard run deep into the third quarter and make it a 10-point game.

Altoona pulled away in the fourth quarter with a pair of rushing touchdowns before G-E-T added a late 56-yard score on a pass from Schmitz to junior Brady Seiling.
