Three-headed attack leads G-E-T to win at Viroqua

The usual suspects led the Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau boys basketball team to victory in conference action last week.

The Red Hawks’ leading scorers this season were again their top offensive weapons in last Thursday’s 56-33 win at Viroqua High School.

Braden Anibas had a team-best 20 points for the visitors, which also got 17 points from Cody Schmitz and 13 more from sophomore Mason Brone.

Anibas also had 11 rebounds for G-E-T.

Only six players needed to score for G-E-T to beat the Blackhawks in more of a defensive showing for the Red Hawks. Viroqua (7-11, 3-6 Coulee Conference) was limited to 14 points in the first half.

Another Coulee opponent awaits G-E-T (15-4 overall, 6-2 Coulee) this Thursday with Black River Falls (2-14, 0-9 Coulee) set to visit.
