Three Wildcats named to All-DC first net team

A surprising season led to postseason awards for some Blair-Taylor volleyball players. 

Seniors Lindsay Steien, Madison Goodbear and Abby Thompson were all named First Team All-Dairyland Conference selections for their performances this past fall. B-T freshman Andrea Waldera was a All-DC second-team pick. The Wildcats went 9-1 in Dairyland Conference play, behind only undefeated Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran. B-T had an overall record of 19-7, just one season after going 5-11.

Norah Youngbauer and Abby Koepke from Whitehall were both second-team picks, as was Adison Pronschinske of Independence.

Rounding out the first team was Kennedy Korger, Augusta; Miah Breheim, Alma Center Lincoln; Gabrielle Radichel and Sheridan Noeldner, ECIL; Bella Holzer and Mackenzie Wegner, Cochrane-Fountain City and Jaden Bautch, Eleva-Strum.

Other second-team selections included Olivia Wulff, Gilmanton; Abigail Miller, Melrose-Mindoro; Wallice Helmin, Alma/Pepin; Samantha Wince, Augusta; Emily Freh, ACL and Hannah Kazemba, ECIL.

ACL finished third in the DC at 8-2 followed by C-FC, 7-3; Augusta, 6-4; Whitehall, 4-6; Eleva-Strum, 4-6; A/P, 3-7; Independence, 2-8, Mel-Min, 2-8 and Gilmanton, 0-10.
