Tulip, Arcadia win CC meet in Nekoosa

Arcadia High School senior Hallie Tulip tacked another win onto her resumé in a Coulee Conference girls golf meet on Thursday. 

Tulip powered the Raiders to victory, carding an event-low score of 40 on the par-36 The Pines at Lake Arrowhead Golf Course. 

The senior won the event by 11 strokes, just ahead of Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau sophomore Alexis Murphy. 

Arcadia junior Whitney Sonsalla took third with a 52, and teammate Ithzel Cossio Sotelo tied for sixth with a 55 to help the Raiders to a first-place team score of 203. 

G-E-T placed second with a 217, followed by Black River Falls at 227 and Nekoosa with a 274. 

G-E-T senior Bailey Maynard tied for fourth with a 53, and teammates Caydence Knott (55, T-sixth) and Anna Motszko (58, T-10th) also finished inside the top 10.

Arcadia’s Mackenzie Wolfe tied for eighth with a 56, and G-E-T senior Emily Nelson finished 12th with a 59.
