Less than one year after placing 11th at the 2020 state golf tournament last October, Arcadia’s Hallie Tulip showed she intends to continue her strong play in 2021.

The senior shot a 4-over-par 41 in a Coulee Conference mini meet at Viroqua Hills Golf Course on Wednesday, good for first place.

She wasn’t alone near the top, as Arcadia golfers registered four of the top seven scores to win the meet with a 195. Black River Falls placed second with a 217, one stroke ahead of Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau’s 218. Nekoosa didn’t have enough golfers to record a team score.

Junior Whitney Sonsalla had the second lowest score of the day with a 10-over 47. Mackenzie Wolfe placed sixth with a 53, Ithzel Cossio Sotelo shot a 54 to finish seventh and Ahnna Bautch added a 58.

Alexis Murphy finished with a team-low 51 for G-E-T, good for fifth place.

Emily Nelson (57), Bailey Maynard (56) and Caydence Kokott (57) all finished inside the top 10. Maggie Bistodeau finished with a 58.
