Westby ends Whitehall volleyball team’s season
One of the top teams in the Coulee Conference was too much for the Whitehall volleyball team, ending its season in the first round of Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association tournament play last week Tuesday.
Whitehall failed to top 20 points in any of the three sets as Westby — which finished only behind West Salem in the Coulee — came away with the sweep. Westby was the fourth seed in the bracket, while Whitehall was the 13th.
The Norse finished the season with a record of 6-17. The team will graduate four seniors who played regularly, but returns seven underclassmen who were at least rotational players this year.
