Whitehall, B-T split DC meet

The Whitehall boys and Blair-Taylor girls shined above the rest last Thursday in a meet hosted by the Wildcats.

The Norse boys accumulated four event wins, while the B-T girls tallied six to take the top positions in their respective fields.

The Wildcats were scheduled to compete Monday at home, as well as Thursday at Independence to wrap up their week. Whitehall competed at home as well on Monday, with a Thursday road meet at Melrose-Mindoro scheduled for this week as well.

DC at B-T

The winning Whitehall boys were led by wins from Jonathan Thorn in the 400, Greg Santos in the 200, Kevin Carroll in the 3200 and Ben Mohan in the high jump.

Avery Sonsalla took the lone win for the Whitehall girls in the 400.

B-T’s winning girls were led by Thea McAdams’s wins in the 1600 and 3200, as well as Paige Kelly in the 300 hurdles, Juliann Doerr in the pole vault and Faith Olson in the high jump. Their 3200 and 1600 relay teams also ran unopposed.

The Wildcat boys tallied three wins, including Delorean Peterson in the 1600, Matthew Brandenburg in the long jump and the 3200 relay team that ran unopposed.
