Whitehall boys first, girls third at DC Central meet

Eight first-place finishes helped the Whitehall boys team take the title, while the girls team was third at the Dairyland Conference Central meet in Whitehall last week Monday.

Greg Sanots and Colton Pank both had a hand in three first-place finishes for the Norse. Santos won the 300 hurdles and the long jump while running on the 1600 relay team with Pank, Jonathan Thorn and Cristobal Aguilar. Pank also won the high jump and was on the 3200 relay with Ben Mohan, Nolan Thompson and Payton Thompson.

Payton Thompson and Thorn were a part of two first-place finishes as Thompson won the 3200 and Thorn topped the field in the 400.

The Whitehall girls took titles in both the 400 and 800 relay races. Chelsea Herber, Alexis Correa and Holly Pirk were on both relays with Abby Semb running on the 800 and Heidi Herber on the 400. Mia Sygulla won the 100 hurdles for the Norse.
