Whitehall boys second at DC meet

The Whitehall boys cross country team finished second in the Dairyland Conference championship meet, hosted by Melrose-Mindoro last week Monday.

The meet was the first that included all of the DC schools as all previous meets had split the schools up. Whitehall had won almost all of its previous competitions, but Cochrane-Fountain City had four runners in the top six to edge the Norse. The Blair-Taylor boys team finished fourth, while the B-T girls took third and Independence/Gilmanton’s girls team was fifth.

The teams were set to compete in a sub-sectional held on Tuesday of this week at Osseo-Fairchild with a sectional competition slated for Saturday. Which teams or individuals compete and where the sectional will take place had yet to be decided as of press time.
