The Whitehall American Legion Post 191 baseball team fell on the road at West Salem last week Wednesday.

Post 191 managed just one hit in the 12-0 loss as Post 51 took an early lead with three runs in the first inning before adding three more in the second and sixth in the third.

Riley Herman got the start for Whitehall, allowing 10 runs on five hits and six walks before being replaced by Connor Stevens.

Broc Coburn had Whitehall’s only hit.

Whitehall hosted Tomah on Friday, but no results from that game were reported to the Times. The team is 2-5 on the season with a home game scheduled for Thursday against Sparta.

The team is scheduled to play in the Class A Baldwin regional next week Friday, with an opening game against Bloomer at 6 p.m. that day. Should they win, they’d play the next day at 4 p.m. If they lose, they’ll play at 1:30 on Saturday against either Baldwin or Fall Creek in the double-elimination tournament.
