WHS game against Augusta canceled, to face B-T Friday

Perhaps no team in the area has had more games cancelled than the Whitehall High School football team.

The Norse had last Friday’s game against Augusta cancelled due to Dairyland Conference COVID-19 protocols. This was the second game the Norse have had cancelled this season as their Aug. 28 matchup with Arcadia was called off due to the weather.

Whitehall also lost the chance to play at least three games due to the COVID-19 pandemic last year. They also likely would’ve had at least one playoff game that was also not played in 2020.

The Norse are set to return to action on Friday when they play at Blair-Taylor. Whitehall sits at 1-2 on the season and 0-2 in Dairyland Conference play. The Wildcats are 3-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
