Wildcats air it out to beat Wolves
Even with extra time to make adjustments, Elmwood/Plum City couldn’t slow down Blair-Taylor’s offense.
B-T scored two touchdowns when the game started on Thursday night before lightning forced the teams to stop play. The game resumed on Friday and B-T continued to roll with three more touchdowns before halftime.
The 36-8 win evened B-T’s record through two games. Dairyland Conference play begins this week as the Wildcats play at Whitehall (1-1). The Norse are coming off of a weather-shortened, 12-6, loss to Arcadia.

Two long touchdown passes from Tavian Shramek to Ethan Kniseley along with a pair of two-point conversions put B-T ahead 16-0 before storms rolled in.
B-T took the lead on a 37-yard Shramek to Kniseley strike before Collin Johnson ran in the two-point conversion to make the score 8-0 with 10:20 left in the first quarter.
The B-T seniors connected again five minutes later, this time for a 28-yard touchdown before Shramek ran in the two-point conversion.
The game had to be stopped in the first quarter, but when play continued on Friday, there was still no slowing down the Wildcats.
Johnson broke free for a 14-yard touchdown run to increase B-T’s lead with six seconds left in the first quarter. Shramek hit two more long touchdown passes, a 51-yard strike to CJ Dummer and a 32-yard toss to Hunter Wagner. A two-point conversion pass to Kole Trapp put B-T ahead 36-0 at halftime.
In the first win of his head coaching career, Seth Dale said the team didn’t attempt a pass in the second half. Shramek completed 11-of-14 passes for 245 yards and four touchdowns. Dummer caught three passes for 100 yards and Kniseley caught four for 99 yards.
“It was an overall good team win,” Dale said. “The defense played well.”
The Wolves got on the scoreboard late in the second half, but the Wildcat lead was never seriously threatened.
