The Blair-Taylor volleyball team was close in a couple of matches, but ended the week 0-2 in Dairyland Conference competition.
The Wildcats had a 2-1 lead at home against Whitehall last Tuesday, but lost both the fourth and fifth sets to drop the match, 3-2 (see story elsewhere in Sports). On Thursday, the Wildcats were close in the first two sets, but lost by a combined four points before losing the third at Cochrane-Fountain City.
The losses dropped B-T’s record to 1-7 on the season (0-3 in DC play) before Tuesday’s home match against Augusta. The team plays a non-conference match in Durand on Thursday before it hosts Eleva-Strum next Tuesday and Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran next Thursday.

The Wildcats were close against a traditional conference powerhouse, but couldn’t get over the hump.
Two two-point losses put B-T behind 0-2 before it dropped the third, 25-7.
Chloe Medenblik was busy at the net with 10 kills, while Andrea Waldera had seven blocks and three kills. The two also helped B-T’s defense as Waldera had 18 digs and Medenblik added 17. Addi Lejcher also had 17 digs.
Emma Wathke had a team-high 13 set assists, Maddie Frederixon added six.
