Wildcats split two matches
After a Dairyland Conference sweep, the Blair-Taylor volleyball team lost a close nonconference match.
The Wildcats had little trouble dispatching Augusta last week Tuesday, winning all three sets convincingly. On Thursday, the team won the second and third sets to take a 2-1 lead in Durand, but the home team rallied for the win.
B-T began this week with an overall record of 3-12 and a 1-3 mark in Dairyland Conference play. The team hosted Eleva-Strum on Tuesday of this week and will welcome Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran on Thursday. This coming Tuesday, B-T heads to Osseo-Fairchild to play a DC newcomer.

None of the three sets were particularly close as the Wildcats dominated at the service line.
Andrea Waldera had 14 aces herself, while Chloe Medenblik added seven. Both also controlled play at the net, as Waldera had 14 blocks and six kills while Medenblick had 10 kills and 10 blocks. Maddie Frederixon added two aces, six assists and six digs. Emma Wathke led the team with 11 assists.

The Wildcats had the home team on the ropes, but Durand won the fourth and fifth sets for the 3-2 win.
Waldera and Medenblik again had big nights at the net. Medenblik, a sophomore, had 21 kills and 10 blocks, while Waldera, a junior, registered 14 blocks and 11 kills. Both were also active on the back end, as Waldera registered 17 digs and Medneblik had 16. Waldera also had six service aces.
Addi Lejcher added nine blocks, two kills and two aces. Setting duties were split as Wathke had 15 assists and Frederixon finished with 12.
