B-T boys fifth at Bangor meet
Against some larger schools, the Blair-Taylor boys track team finished fifth, while the girls team was seventh at the Bangor Open last Tuesday.
The B-T boys were led by two second-place finishes from Connor Kruse, who was the runner-up in both the 100- and 200-meter dashes. The team also got a second-place finish from Alex Sygula in the 3,200 and Adam Halverson in the discus. Sygula also ran on the fourth-place 3,200-relay team and was fourth in the high jump.
Carter Kindschy finished fifth in both hurdle races for B-T.
The B-T girls team was led by its 800 relay team, which took third. The team was made up of Mckenzie Killian, Lizzie Stevens, Alley Samples, and Jaydon Tollefson. Charlyse Horton and Kelsey Lien both had two top-five finishes as Horton was fourth in the 300 hurdles and fifth in the 100 hurdles while Lien was fourth in the long jump and fifth in the 1600.
Because there were only seven teams competing in the meet, only the top five places were awarded points.
