Wildcats top Thunder, Indees in DC play
The Blair-Taylor volleyball team picked up a pair of 3-1 road wins last week.
On Tuesday, the Wildcats won the third and fourth sets to beat Osseo-Fairchild. On Thursday, B-T dropped the first set then won three straight to top Independence/Gilmanton in Gilmanton.
The wins put B-T at 6-13 overall and 4-4 in Dairyland Conference play. The team hosted Alma/Pepin on Tuesday of this week and went to Alma Center Lincoln to close out the regular season on Thursday. Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association play begins next week.

The Wildcats controlled play at the net as it won three sets convincingly.
Andrea Waldera registered 17 kills and five blocks, while Chloe Medenblik added eight kills, and Emma Wathke had six. Maddie Frederixon did most of the setting, finishing with 18 set assists, while Wathke had 11.
B-T also had a strong performance from the service line as Medenblik had six aces, Wathke, four and both Waldera and Frederixon had two. Medenblik also had 12 digs.

After a slow start, the Wildcats controlled the final three sets.
Waldera had another strong performance at the net, finishing with 13 kills and 11 blocks. Medenblik added seven kills and four blocks, while Frederixon and Wathke each had two kills. Setting duties were split as Wathke had 12 assists and Frederixon finished with 10.
Medenblik also had a strong performance at the service line with nine aces while Waldera, Frederixon and Wathke all had two.
