Wiseman to take reins

The Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau School District is intending to hire Jeff Wiseman to replace Jon Steffenhagen as the school’s football coach.
The hire had not yet been approved by the G-E-T school board as of Tuesday of this week, but G-E-T Athletic Director Rick Schmidt confirmed that Wiseman had been offered and accepted the job.
Wiseman was an assistant under Steffenhagen during the 2021 alternate fall season. Previously, he was the defensive coordinator in Arcadia under coach Derek Updike.
An Illinois native, Wiseman worked as an actor as a child, appearing in films such as Home Alone and Overboard.
